DYMAG x BUILD TRAIN RACE

Dymag Partners with Royal Enfield’s BTR Program.

Dymag is excited to announce our partnership with Royal Enfield’s BUILD. TRAIN. RACE. (BTR) program. This innovative initiative empowers women riders by blending creativity, technical skill, and racing passion, offering a unique pathway into motorsport.

What is ‘BUILD. TRAIN. RACE.’?

Build Train Race (BTR) is a groundbreaking all-woman motorcycle racing initiative by Royal Enfield that teaches women how to build and race their motorcycles. Each season, 12 women riders from diverse backgrounds are selected to join the program. Throughout the programs’ three phases – BUILD, TRAIN, and RACE – participants learn how to upgrade and customise their bikes, refine their riding skills, and ultimately compete in a series of races across the United States.

The BTR program highlights women and motorcycle culture through a unique format that brings together riders from different backgrounds to compete in an exclusive racing series.

BUILD

The BTR journey always begins with the BUILD stage – each participant receives a stock Royal Enfield 650 Twin, it’s then their job to customise and upgrade it into a race-ready machine. Flat Track riders prepare an INT 650 whilst the Road Racers prepare a Continental GT 650. Each rider is supported throughout this stage by Royal Enfield and partners to ensure they can build a race-ready motorcycle.

This hands-on phase encourages creativity and mechanical skill as riders work with mentors to select components, modify performance, and craft a unique design. The result is a bespoke motorcycle that reflects the rider’s personality and vision.

TRAIN

Once their bikes are transformed into race-ready machines, participants focus on learning the advanced techniques required for competitive racing. As they are already proficient riders, they now face the challenge of adapting their abilities for road or flat-track racing. Under the guidance of professional coaches, the training program dives deep into race-specific skills, including advanced cornering techniques, precision braking, and perfecting race lines.

Coaches also emphasise racecraft – an essential element that involves strategic decision-making, overtaking tactics, and understanding how to respond to competitors in real time. Riders practice maintaining optimal body positioning to maximise aerodynamics and control.

Beyond physical techniques, the training also includes mental preparation. Participants learn to manage pre-race nerves, sustain focus during long sessions, and develop a winning mindset. Nutrition and fitness routines are tailored to help riders build endurance and stay sharp.

The ‘TRAIN’ stage enables participants to take their ability to fully ‘race-ready’. By the end of their training, riders should be mentally and physically prepared to take on the intense racing that lies ahead…

RACE

The final stage of BTR sees participants take to the track in a series of races at well-known venues across the United States. These events celebrate the culmination of their hard work and offer a platform for the participants to demonstrate what they’ve learnt and the skills they have developed.

The Perfect BTR Wheel: Dymag CH3A

A crucial element of the BTR program’s success lies in equipping participants with the best tools for the job. That’s where Dymag’s CH3A wheels come in. Specifically engineered for high-performance racing, the CH3A wheels are lightweight yet incredibly strong, offering an unmatched strength-to-weight ratio. This makes them ideal for the demanding conditions of BTR.

Dymag’s CH3A wheels are forged from premium aluminium, ensuring durability and precision. Their lightweight construction reduces unsprung weight, allowing for quicker acceleration, sharper handling, and enhanced responsiveness. CH3A wheels are designed to withstand the intense forces of racing, providing consistent performance lap after lap.

By incorporating CH3A wheels into the BTR program, participants gain access to industry-leading technology that boosts their confidence and performance.
