Nichols Motors recently unveiled the Nichols N1A, a striking addition to Britain’s tradition of bespoke, high-performance sports cars. Produced in a strictly limited run, the N1A combines cutting-edge engineering with timeless design, delivering an uncompromising driving experience.

Weighing in at under 900kg, the N1A offers a raw power-to-weight ratio, producing more than 700bhp with its naturally aspirated 7.0 litre V8 engine.
Its lightweight philosophy extends throughout the vehicle, with an extruded aluminium and carbon fibre chassis complemented by bespoke DYMAG® lightweight carbon-hybrid wheels. Engineered to reduce unsprung mass while delivering high stiffness, the DYMAG® wheels play a pivotal role in enhancing the N1A’s agility, handling, precision and control, elevating overall performance at speed.

Nichols Motors was founded by respected industry veteran John Minett and race car designer Steve Nichols, who headed up the design team at McLaren during one of their most successful eras.
To celebrate the arrival of the N1A, the first 15 cars will be numbered and badged to celebrate each individual victory of the Steve Nichols-designed McLaren MP4/4 in the hands of Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost.
Shaun Golding, General Manager and Head of UK Operations at DYMAG®, said: “The Nichols N1A represents a celebration of British engineering excellence, pairing lightweight innovation with motorsport heritage.
“DYMAG® is proud to contribute to this exceptional project, with our carbon-hybrid wheel technology helping to deliver the performance, precision and dynamics at the heart of the N1A.”
John Minett, Chief Executive Officer at Nichols Cars, commented: “In every area of the programme we have gone out of our way to work with the leading companies and individuals in their field. Our partnership with DYMAG® is a prime example of this philosophy.”
The first 15 examples built of the N1A will be the launch addition ‘Icon 88’ cars, with customer deliveries to begin later this year.
